On a sunny day in Callao Salvaje, something extraordinary happened—a community came together to give back to the environment that gives us so much. Armed with gloves, bags, and an unstoppable positive energy, we gathered for a beach clean-up that left the shoreline looking pristine and our hearts full of hope.
The Impact We Made
With collective determination, we picked up an incredible 500kg of trash from the beach and surrounding areas. Plastic bottles, fishing nets, cigarette butts, and countless other items were removed, ensuring they no longer pose a threat to marine life or pollute our beautiful coastline.
Every piece of trash collected was a reminder of the importance of working together to protect our planet. Each bag filled was proof that together, we can make a difference.

Community Spirit Shines Bright
This clean-up wasn’t just about picking up trash—it was about connection. Families, friends, neighbors, and visitors joined forces, creating a sense of unity that made the day unforgettable.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors—Oceanbeer, Myndhotel, and Breathingwater—for their generous support and dedication to the environment. Your partnership made this event possible and inspired us all to do more for our planet.

Why Beach Clean-Ups Matter
Every year, millions of tons of waste end up in the ocean, threatening marine ecosystems and harming wildlife. Beach clean-ups like this one are a vital step in reducing this impact and spreading awareness about the importance of sustainability. By taking action locally, we contribute to a global movement to protect our oceans and ensure they thrive for generations to come.

If you want to get involved, here are some tips for your everyday life to prevent more plastic from ending up on the beautiful beaches:
Shop with a reusable bag instead of a plastic one.
Use bar soap instead of liquid hand soap.
When going for a picnic, eat off conventional tableware instead of disposable ones.
Do not use drinking straws.
And, if plastic is used, separate it when recycling (in the yellow bin)
