Emma is an Italian student of Intercultural development of tourism system

Her biggest interest is sustainability and how to relate it with our daily activities. She has a radical vocation for respecting the environments and local people. For tourists, it is very important knowing the history and habits of local habitants, to avoid disrespectful actions and destroy what they have committed to building. Tourism is based on a fair sharing coming from the meeting of the local culture and the foreign one.

She is focusing her studies on the social movements that tourism creates in smaller environments.

One of the activities that she likes most is trying the local food, because it is an expression of the local tradition. For her, it is deeply important sharing the old knowledge and keep them alive. Also, she is supporting the fight against food waste, plastic waste and promoting the Km0 agriculture.

She joins Canary Green because she believes in the sustainable goals of the organization.
