The Green Team is no stranger to Forestal Park but we love to go back every chance we get! Not only is it a great place for families, children and adventure-seekers alike, it is an opportunity to move your body, reconnect with nature and push yourself past your fears, if you have any.
Forestal Park Fun
We have written extensively about Forestal Park, so if you need more details check out our previous post. But to sum up Forestal Park is an adventure park located in the north of Tenerife right near the gates of Teide National Park. It offers various trails in the treetops, ranging from easy to extreme (30m in the air!), all this in the serene and beautiful setting of an ancient forest of autoctonous Canarian Pines.

Wondering Where to Go?
Perhaps you have rented a car for your weeklong holidays in sunny Tenerife and are looking for new adventures? Well look no further! Given that Forestal Park is unfortunately not reachable by public transport, using your rental car is the perfect opportunity to experience something off the beaten path and enjoy some treetop fun. Forestal Park is fun for adults and children alike, it offers spectacular views both in the drive up and whilst completeing the trails among the boughs of canarian pines. Furthermore there is a cute little cafè right beside the car park where you can enjoy a delicious meal after all the climbing, be warned though, it is cash only.
Not sure which rental company to choose? We recommend Cicar beacuse they are local, available in each island of the archipelago and have plenty of electric options! We love to support any initiative that allows us to explore the Canaries in the least harmful way possible.

What to expect from Forestal Park
If you choose to go to Forestal Park you can expect beautiful scenery, amazing and helful staff, relaxing in nature and pushing past your limits.
All in all, we never grow tired of visiting Forestal Park and we think you would enjoy it as much as we do!
Our favorites
• The sense of tranquility
• Trails for both children and adults
• The focus on safety
• Zip lines!
• The vicinity to Teide

Canary Green’s tips to enjoying sustainable tourism in Tenerife
Visiting Tenerife on holiday doesn’t give you free rein to leave your values and principles at home. We encourage travellers to seek out sustainable options and keep up with environmental practices while travelling. Our top tips for a relaxed and wholesome stay include:
- Consider green transport options. Are you able to take a ferry to the island instead of flying? While you are here is a car necessary? Investigate public transport links or choose green options such as electric cars, green-hydrogen cars or e-bikes.
- Choose destinations that value sustainability and choose green alternatives such as solar power, recycling and energy-efficient architecture. This extends to places that value workers’ rights and the impact on the local community.
- Bring your own water bottle with you and refill it instead of buying single-use plastic bottles.
- Make use of the recycling when out and about and don’t just throw your rubbish in the nearest bin.
- Take advantage of local knowledge and immerse yourself in the culture through campaigns such as #Ilovecanarias and #meatfreemondaycanarias.
- Most of all, have fun and enjoy your time in the Canary Islands.
