Francesca Furlan
Francesca, a 25-year-old from Italy, is in her second year of the Environmental Humanities Master’s program at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. In February 2025, she joined Canary Green through the Erasmus Internship Program, bringing her competence in environmental communication to support the organization’s mission.
Her interdisciplinary Master’s program combines humanistic and scientific perspectives to explore human-nature relationships and their broader implications. With a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, and Human Rights, Francesca is also deeply engaged in social and political issues.
She is committed to addressing environmental challenges through diverse and transformative approaches, believing that inclusive perspectives lead to innovative solutions. Her main focus is on environmental communication, sharing information and ideas about climate and environmental issues to raise awareness, shape attitudes, and encourage sustainable behaviors. In Tenerife, where over-tourism poses a critical challenge, effective communication is essential for driving change.
