Ivana Atelj is from Croatia and is currently finishing her master’s studies in Marketing in Tourism. She was drawn here to discover how business operates in a foreign setting and to develop competencies in an international environment. She joined Canary Green in February 2025. In the organization, she is the Event and Social Media Coordinator.
Given that she comes from a tourist-driven country herself, she is excited to explore sustainable tourism solutions in the Canary Islands. She is also interested in developing sustainable rural tourism, which is becoming increasingly important in Croatia.

She started her „ sustainable journey” while exploring clean cosmetics that don’t contain toxic chemicals and reading the ingredients of products that are marketed as healthy but are not.

It would be great if everyone tried to change their consumer habits and buy more locally from small entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses.
