Join us in Palm-Mar – Beach Clean-up

Are you passionate about preserving our beautiful coastlines? Want to make a tangible difference in your community while enjoying the great outdoors? We invite you to roll up your sleeves and join us for a beach clean-up at Playa La Arenita on October 26th from 10 AM to 12 PM. This event is not only about cleaning our beaches; it’s about coming together as a community to celebrate and protect the environment we all cherish. Register here!

What to Bring:

  • Refillable Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is key! We’ll have a drinking station set up, so bring your own bottle to fill up throughout the event.
  • Comfortable Clothing: Dress for the occasion! Wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little sandy or messy. Comfortable shoes are also a must since we’ll be walking along the beach.
  • Sunscreen and Hat: Protect yourself from the sun while you work hard. A hat and sunscreen will help keep you safe from those rays!
  • Positive Energy: Bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help! The more positive vibes we have, the more enjoyable the day will be.

Hungry?

After a productive morning, you’ll definitely deserve a treat! We’re excited to provide free sandwiches for all participants, so you can refuel and enjoy some delicious food with your fellow beach-cleaners.

A Team Effort for a Cleaner Coastline!

Why Join Us?

Participating in a beach clean-up is a rewarding experience that goes beyond just picking up litter. It’s an opportunity to:

  • Make a Real Impact: Every piece of trash removed from the beach helps protect marine life and keeps our oceans clean.
  • Connect with Others: Whether you bring friends and family or come solo, it’s a fantastic way to meet new people who share your passion for the environment.
  • Enjoy the Great Outdoors: Breathe in the fresh ocean air, soak up the sun, and appreciate the natural beauty around you as we work together for a good cause.
  • Have Fun! We’ll have music, laughter, and a sense of community spirit. Cleaning the beach can be a joyful and fulfilling experience, and we’re excited to share it with you!

If you want to get involved, here are some tips for your everyday life to prevent more plastic from ending up on the beautiful beaches:

  • Shop with a reusable bag instead of a plastic one.

  • Use bar soap instead of liquid hand soap.

  • When going for a picnic, eat off conventional tableware instead of disposable ones.

  • Do not use drinking straws.

  • And, if plastic is used, separate it when recycling (in the yellow bin)

Thank you
