Earlier this week, the Open Coffee Sustainable Networking was held for the 5th time at The Beer Trap in Golf del Sur. As part of the Canary Green team, Kim De Coster started this sustainable networking event in April of this year. Usually, networking events are open to any type of business to attend. We took a more targeted approach. Companies and professionals wanting to join us are required to have an important interest in sustainability.
The goal is to bring companies and professionals together to talk about sustainability, and to create synergies. Each company is given the opportunity to present their sustainable solutions or to explain how they would like to become a more sustainable business.
Since the very first edition in April, acceptance by entrepreneurs and professionals in Tenerife has been absolutely fantastic and it is very satisfying to see interest is increasing every single month.
In this month’s edition, once again, we welcomed a really wonderful mix of business, all from very different sectors. We were happy to see part of the team of Xwander show up for the first time and talk about their goal to become the first carbon-neutral activity provider on the island. Or to hear the owner of Wingate School explain the different steps they have taken already within the school, not just towards education of their students but also with respect to their facilities and infrastructure. And these are just a few examples.
To notice that businesses such as Agüita (stainless steel bottles), The Loft (natural hair and body care), The Loft Interior Design (recycling old kitchens), Intech Networks (IT Solutions), Healthy Harmony (Holistic Treatments), Phil Crean Photography, and so many more keep coming back definitely confirms a promising future for the Open Coffee event!
The next edition will be on October 22nd. To make sure we can reach as many businesses as possible, we have created this small questionnaire. Are you a supplier of sustainable products, an entrepreneur who is taking his first steps in this world or just a professional with a lot of interest in this topic, and would you like to come to the Open Coffee Sustainable Networking? Please take a minute and fill out this form: https://forms.gle/UGcRxrdSYhn5ShKE8. Based on the answers, we’ll know better at what time to organise the next event!
Finally, a special thank you is in order; to our hosts Kaidi and Alessio Capotondi at The Beer Trap in Golf del Sur for believing in this project from day one, offering the location to organise this event and donating part of the proceeds to Canary Green. Also to John Beckley, founder of Canary Green, and the rest of the Canary Green team for all your support!
