Hello! My name is Catarina. I am half Portuguese and half Dutch, and I live in the Netherlands. I study Global Project and Change Management at HZ University, where I focus on managing international projects, working with diverse teams, and guiding change in a way that creates positive and meaningful impact. Within my study program, I am known as a creative person who enjoys making ideas visually appealing and bringing structure and aesthetics together.
At Canary Green, I get to apply these skills within the field of sustainable tourism, which strongly connects to my love for nature, animals, and sustainability. I chose this opportunity to challenge myself and step outside my comfort zone, especially by becoming more active on social media, something I enjoy but was initially nervous about. It also allows me to work more closely with partners in a setting that supports my personal and professional growth.
I feel connected to Canary Green because it stands for something I care deeply about: travelling in a way that doesn’t harm people or the planet. I want to help make the world a better place through real actions, not just words. Being part of a team that encourages thoughtful travel, protects nature, and supports local communities feels meaningful to me and fits the kind of work I want to do.
