The spread of positive vibes, amazing homemade plant-based goodies galore brought by our guests coupled with an incredible gourmet vegan menu prepared by our hosts, Lagarto Brasserie, made our 4th Vegan Brunch Potluck Meetup this Sunday, August 25, 2019, in La Caleta, a huge, delicious success.

Vegan Brunch: unique Culinary Experience
A potluck is a fun get-together where each guest or group contributes a different homemade dish to be shared. As you never know what to expect, a potluck can be a real eating adventure.
This time our taste buds travelled from Asia to Jamaica, through tarts, salads and spreads — dishes inspired by international cuisines which gave us a glimpse into other countries’ customs and opened us up to a whole new world of flavours.

New Flavours and Cooking Inspiration
The amazing variety of food shared by our guests and our wonderful host exemplified just how satisfying and flavourful vegan options can be. As the event was simply epi-delicious, it was also a great opportunity to spark our creativity in the kitchen. From homemade savoury starters, sides, main courses and desserts to show-stopping dishes from Lagarto’s vegan menu, there was something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Needless to say, deciding the winner of our mini-competition for the best dish was anything but easy.

Bringing Connection Back to Real Life
With everything happening in the world these days, finding unity and bringing people together seems like a worthwhile idea, and food has the unique ability to engage a group of people like few other things in life. We all have to eat and breaking bread together can be a powerful way to break down barriers.
While it can often be difficult to meet like-minded, interesting people, our events are a great, fun way to make new friends. It felt so good to see our guests connecting with each other while sharing their experiences, stories, recipes and love of healthy, plant-based food.
Happy Memories
Enjoying yummy food and wonderful company is delightful on its own, but trying something different and fun like a Potluck Meetup is sure to create long-lasting, happy memories.
