In the near past, our Canary Green team visited a very special, incredibly eco-conscious fast food restaurant in downtown Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The Krass Corner is a fast-food concept that is changing the game in the sustainable and vegan food space. Based in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, this unique fast-food restaurant creates delicious meals made with Canarian products, limits waste, and makes everything in-house. Not only is the food delicious, but the experience of dining at The Krass Corner is truly one of a kind.

The owners, Eva and Herman, started The Krass Corner last year in June. They came up with the idea after working long hours and realizing there were no convenient, healthy options for fast food. They decided to take matters into their own hands and become pioneers in the sustainable, healthy fast food industry.

The Krass Corner‘s menu is 100% organic and vegan, using only the freshest ingredients sourced from the region. The food is made from scratch, with everything homemade and natural. Customers have the option of takeaway food, which is convenient and perfect for those on the go. They even have a deposit system for glasses, encouraging customers to be environmentally conscious.

This wonderful fast food restaurant offers a stamp card where customers can collect stamps for each purchase. After collecting 10 stamps, they can redeem a free meal. This reward system is not only a great incentive for customers, but it also promotes customer loyalty.

The food at The Krass Corner is stored in jars, which not only makes for a visually appealing dining experience, but also serves as an eco-friendly option. The vacuum-sealed jars keep the food fresh and can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days. Additionally, all calories and ingredients are indicated on the jars, making it easy for customers to make informed decisions about what they are eating.

We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to see The Krass Corner kitchen during our visit. The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients without plastic was impressive. They even ferment their own onions and cabbages, which shows their commitment to using the best quality ingredients and creating their own recipes.

The Krass Corner‘s commitment to sustainability is evident in their efforts to limit waste. They buy everything in bulk, and very little waste is produced. This sustainable mindset is not only good for the environment but also good for the local economy.
